The TPS Medical System comprises a core instrument, thermal probe, and affiliated software. The newly developed  probe, which is easily operated by hand, allows for the analysis of structural variations in the material or tissue immediately under the contact area of the probe.

The data is assembled through a user-friendly software, and can easily be exported for comparison with e.g. numerical simulations. The TPS Medical System utilizes the instrumentation defined in the International Standard ISO 22007-2 of 2008, specifically as realized in the Hot Disk AB instrument designated TPS 2500 S.
