Hot Disk Medical AB was formed in early 2010, following the discovery of a novel and promising method of utilizing Transient Plane Source (TPS) technology. Seven senior Swedish partners, spanning academic fields from medicine to physics, have consolidated their efforts in forming the company, dedicated to promoting a diagnostic instrument for in vivo and in-depth studies of human skin. Related applications range from swift, painless and accurate clinical screenings of possible pathological changes, as well as precise studies of lotion penetration in dermatological contexts.
